This training aims to strengthen the capacities of around twenty sanitation experts from 10 African countries, as part of the project “Promoting Citywide Inclusive Sanitation through Climate Resilience in West Africa.” The project is implemented in Senegal, Burkina Faso, and Côte d’Ivoire, in alignment with national priorities to better integrate sanitation into public policy. The objective of the training session is to equip participants to fully integrate climate considerations into sanitation policies and practices.
Over the course of four days, participants will build their expertise on:

Climate-resilient sanitation technologies
Climate financing for sanitation, and
Carbon market mechanisms applicable to the sanitation sector
UPM is very honored to be invited by GGGI Africa to support this initiative of GGGI/AfWasa and three of our experts, Mr. Martin Dilger, Prof. Heinz-Peter Mang and Ms. Marie Reysset will support this important Training of Trainers.
