UPM will participate in the Sustainable Development Future Forum 2025, the annual flagship conference of the Foundation Development and Climate Alliance (Stiftung Allianz für Entwicklung und Klima), taking place on October 1–2, 2025 at the Humboldt Carré in Berlin and online.
The Foundation, established in 2018 by KfW on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), unites more than 1,600 supporters from business, public institutions, civil society, and academia to promote climate action and sustainable development worldwide. Through voluntary CO₂ compensation and projects with strong development benefits, the Alliance demonstrates how effective climate protection can go hand in hand with achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
UPM has been a committed supporter of the Alliance since 2019, setting an important example for sustainable development and global climate protection.
By joining the Sustainable Development Future Forum 2025, UPM reinforces its role as a driver of transformative solutions. The two-day program will feature high-level panels, keynote speeches, networking sessions, and workshops focused on climate transformation, corporate decarbonization, and innovative financing for climate action.
"We at UPM are honored to join the Sustainable Development Future Forum, a powerful platform where climate action meets development goals. Since 2019, we have proudly supported the Alliance and its mission. Participating in this year’s Forum is another step in our commitment to advancing solutions that foster economic growth, social well-being, and planetary resilience." — Martin Dilger, Managing Director of UPM
